The stage is set, the audience settles in, and an evening of symphonic harmony and entertainment unfolds at the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy the sweeping sounds of the 80-piece symphony as they play musical wonders like Beethoven's Ninth and Hollywood's Greatest Melodies at the hands of Maestro Harvey Felder, noted as "one of America's promising conductors," by Symphony Magazine.

Go green at the Tacoma Farmers Markets. Discover a hidden gem off the beaten grocery path as you harvest local farm fresh goodies and shop for hand made artesian wares. Live music is part of the shopping experience, and you'll hear sounds from three outdoor European style market places. Markets include Broadway Market, the largest marketplace, 6th Avenue, a small neighborhood marketplace and South Tacoma Market, only open on Sundays.

Polar bears high five at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Bring the family for a fun-filled day where you can get nose to nose with a giraffe, cagey with a wild cat, high five a polar bear and even ride atop a camel. Dive deeper into nature when you find exhibits and attractions like the 24,000-gallon Lagoon swimming with sharks, octopus and all kinds of sea creatures.
