The Pathfinder Reservoir is situated on the North Platte River between Casper and Rawlins. It sits 47 miles southwest of Casper. The reservoir is part of the Pathfinder National Wildlife Refuge. In addition to seeing visually arresting exhibits about the history of these trails, visitors can actually experience the trails themselves by follow the BLM signs outside the center. The National Historic Trails Center gives you the unique opportunity to walk through the same trails that have been used since the late 19th century.
