The Casper Marathon is held every June and it stands as a very dramatic reminder of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Participants are invited to "run with the herd" in an event that is half marathon, half marathon relay. The marathon is staged by the Casper Windy City Striders, the city's running club. Even though the group that organizes this event has literally logged thousands of miles in their respective races and daily runs; every effort is put forth to make this festival nothing short of a runaway success.

Take to the slopes for a fun skiing adventure at Hogadon Ski Area. This impressive ski area features 60-plus acres of well-maintained trails, 600 vertical feet, and an apex that reaches 8,000 feet above sea level. This natural attraction boasts slopes that both seasoned pros and beginners will enjoy, as well as three lifts, snow-making machines, equipment rentals, a snack bar and ski and snowboarding classes.

You'll love knocking down the pins at Casper's Sunrise Lanes bowling center. This great bowling facility is proudly smoke-free and is the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy. The recreation facility accommodates leagues, hosts parties and offers youth programs. There are special events planned all year, but one of the most popular is "glow in the dark" bowling.
