Experience some of Wyoming's wildest wildlife without having to venture out into the wild. You only have to go as far as exploring the attractions at the Werner Wildlife Museum, a facility that is affiliated with Casper College. Several incredible creatures are featured as stuffed and mounted representatives of the various species from the area. See grizzly bears, mountain lions, and birds of prey. The museum also includes displays of animals from Canada, Alaska, Africa, Southeast Asia as well as other exotic places from around the globe.

The Casper Marathon is held every June and it stands as a very dramatic reminder of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Participants are invited to "run with the herd" in an event that is half marathon, half marathon relay. The marathon is staged by the Casper Windy City Striders, the city's running club. Even though the group that organizes this event has literally logged thousands of miles in their respective races and daily runs; every effort is put forth to make this festival nothing short of a runaway success.

The thrill of the hunt is still very much alive thanks to the professionals at Flying B Outfitters. The company offers big game hunts for antelope, deer, elk, moose, bear, bighorn sheep, bison, turkey and mountain lion by way of archery, rifle and black powder. Take to the slopes for a fun skiing adventure at Hogadon Ski Area. This impressive ski area features 60-plus acres of well-maintained trails, 600 vertical feet, and an apex that reaches 8,000 feet above sea level. This natural attraction boasts slopes that both seasoned pros and beginners will enjoy, as well as three lifts, snow-making machines, equipment rentals, a snack bar and ski and snowboarding classes.
