Inside the Medicine Bow - Routt National Forest, you’ll find Vedauwoo. This outdoor site contains rocky outcropping of boulders, slabs and cliffs perfect for hiking and rock climbing. The weathered Sherman granite in the Land of the Earthborn Spirit makes for some of the best wide crack climbing (offwidths) in the world. Feel free to bring a tent as well, since the area also contains a convenient campground.
Stretch your legs on the Historical Walking Tour, a self-guided walking tour through Lakeview Cemetery. Pick up a pamphlet from the front office and then wind your way around this gorgeous, historical resting place for all of Cheyenne’s famous, infamous and average citizens. Learn a little about the lives and histories of these people as you tour the grounds.
