A true college-oriented establishment, the Library Sports Grille and Brewery is one of the most popular nightlife hangouts for University of Wyoming students. This restaurant and brewery offers a sports bar atmosphere complete with multiple televisions and pool tables. Just south of the university’s dorm complex, the Library offers amazing daily specials.
The Historic Governors’ Mansion provided residence for Wyoming’s governor from 1905 until 1976. This historic landmark and attraction is currently operating as a house museum, with rooms displaying decorations and artifacts from the 1905, 1937, 1955 and 1960s eras. See real dinosaur skeletons from the University’s archeological dig site at the Geological Museum at University of Wyoming. An amazing 75-foot Apatosaurus (Brontosaurus) skeleton dominates the museum hall, and the remaining space is filled with natural history discoveries like an Allosaurus fossil, a copper-plated T-Rex, hundreds of rock and mineral samples and intricate murals.
Cheyenne is filled with small community and neighborhood parks. Lions Park, however, offers more to visitors than simply a grassy area. You can find just about anything a fan of the great outdoors could desire in this city park, including a lake, a beach, boating and fishing opportunities, playgrounds, mini golf, an indoor swimming pool and even the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens.
