Get your grub on when you visit the Annual Chugwater Chili Cook-off. Enter your secret recipe in the competition or just stuff yourself with the best chili in the county. In addition to delicious food, the festival hosts a variety of live music, car shows, door prizes, eating competitions, and an art and quilt show. Jump start your appetite or burn off your huge meal at the Tour de Chili Bicycle Race.

The Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne is a notable US National Historic Landmark, and has been a part of the community since even before Wyoming officially gained statehood. Architects designed this Corinthian building with the United States Capitol in mind; admire the stunning construction as you walk through this seat of government on a weekday tour.
Inside the Medicine Bow - Routt National Forest, you’ll find Vedauwoo. This outdoor site contains rocky outcropping of boulders, slabs and cliffs perfect for hiking and rock climbing. The weathered Sherman granite in the Land of the Earthborn Spirit makes for some of the best wide crack climbing (offwidths) in the world. Feel free to bring a tent as well, since the area also contains a convenient campground.
