Located inside the historic Union Pacific Railroad depot, the Cheyenne Depot Museum, also known as the Wyoming Transportation Museum, tells the interwoven stories of the city’s origins and the Transcontinental Railroad. Explore the renovated sandstone train station and its hands-on exhibits and attractions in order to get a real feel for Cheyenne’s history.

Dine at the restaurant and drink at the bar inside of The Albany, Cheyenne’s popular family-owned nightlife venue. Once a hotel across from the Union Pacific train station, the Albany Building now houses the best place in the city to get a meal and a cold one. Sit down at one of the tables, hang out near the bar or make your way over to the billiards area.

Located in Lincoln Park, Johnson Pool is a great way to cool down during the hot summer months. This seasonal outdoor pool is open to the public from June until August, and offers pool rentals, swimming lessons and a swim team. One of the largest Marian statues in the United States, Our Lady of Peace Shrine stands over 30 feet tall and weighs 180 tons. An unexpected sight in the small town of Pine Bluffs, along Cheyenne’s Interstate 80, this amazing concrete sculpture breaks up the monotony of fields and grain elevators.
