Part of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, an almost 2.9 million acre forest straddling Wyoming and Colorado, the Medicine Bow - Routt National Forest showcases some of the most breathtaking landscape in the state–from mountain ranges and towering trees to grasslands and crystal clear streams. Enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, biking, horse riding, camping, sightseeing and a variety of winter sports.

Like trains? Then you’ll love the Big Boy Steam Engine in Holliday Park! This retired Old Number 4004, the world’s largest steam locomotive, used to harness the power of coal to pull a 3,600-ton train along the steep hills of Union Pacific railroad. Although you can no longer climb aboard, Big Boy remains an imposing sight and one of the city's best attractions.
