John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

America's memorial to President Kennedy keeps an artistic tradition alive that would have put a smile on the face of the beloved fallen leader. The DC9
At the end of the evening, why end it? The DC9 is the perfect place to listen to the resident DJ spin tunes until the wee hours. Or, if you prefer something a little earlier, the club is also a great place to begin your DC nightlife experience, as the venue is perfect for convening with friends and hanging out for awhile after work. In the middle of the evening, the energy level rises thanks to the excellent live bands that frequently plug in and play. National Air and Space Museum
For a high-flying afternoon with the whole family, head out to the National Air and Space Museum. Part of the Smithsonian group of museums, this venue presents several life-size exhibits and attractions that only make them all the more dramatic. This is the Smithsonian's most visited museum largely due to the dozens of aircraft that are on display that include Lindbergh's aircraft to the Wright Brothers' Flyer and lots more.
Potomac River
The Potomac River offers several fine opportunities for water sports and great aquatic fun. Enjoy a day of sailing and get a look at DC from a truly amazing vantage point. There are several marinas on the Southwest Waterfront, Old Town Alexandria, and Arlington that are great starting points for your time on the water. Lessons are available at the Washington Sailing Marina which is located just south of the Reagan National Airport.
