In a nondescript building on the Westside of Atlanta, Giovanni Di Palma built his pizzeria from scraps and stones. The exterior wasn’t much to look at, but inside held the secrets to the perfect pie. Within weeks of opening Antico Pizza Napoletana, lines of locals, visitors, and celebrities formed around the block. Antico is now a name synonymous with pizza greatness. As a pioneer of the neighborhood, Di Palma’s fame grew alongside the area’s popularity, and he created Little Italia, modeled after the historic town centers found all across Italy.
