His latest film tells the story of John Callahan, a man who struggled for decades with alcoholism even after he was paralyzed after a drunk driving accident at the age of 21, until he eventually found sobriety and recovery through humor. His irreverent cartoons made him a celebrity in his hometown of Portland, Ore., and a national figure. Callahan is played in the film by Joaquin Phoenix. He is the subject of a new HBO documentary airing tomorrow night called "Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind." ERIC DEGGANS, BYLINE: This is an odd thing to say about a movie that looks closely at its subject's struggles with alcoholism and addiction, infidelity and depression. But HBO's "Come Inside My Mind" also turns away from its subject at crucial moments, particularly when it comes to Robin Williams' physical decline late in life and his death. (SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING) UNIDENTIFIED PERSON: We have just received word that the Academy Award-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams has died. The sheriff's office says that suicide is suspected. DEGGANS: This clip from CBS News is the moment that most directly

This is the case in the Shambhala Buddhist community. It's one of the largest Buddhist organizations in the West, with many followers in the U.S. and Canada who gather to learn from faith leader Mipham Rinpoche. Recently, Mipham, who's also referred to as the Sakyong, which loosely translates as king, took a leave of absence following allegations of sexual misconduct. The entire governing council of Shambhala International resigned following the publication of Buddhist Project Sunshine. That's the name of an unofficial yearlong investigation into the problem of sexual abuse in Shambhala Buddhism undertaken by former member Andrea Winn, who says she's a survivor of sexual abuse. She spent all of 2017 researching sexual abuse in the
