A Blinds

Get some good laughs at the Groundlings Theatre & School. This improvisation and sketch comedy theater has been serving up humor and entertainment for LA audiences for almost four decades. This comedy club also doubles as the Groundlings School, which hosts six-week long sessions. The competitive program claims many famous alumni, including Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph.

The historic movie palace, Million Dollar Theater, was built by entrepreneur Sid Grauman before his Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The Million Dollar Theatre has been preserved for its unique and extraordinary architecture, even though the building lay abandoned for two years. Re-opened in 2008, the theater currently shows live Spanish theater.

Walk through living history at the Heritage Square Museum. The Heritage Square attraction is actually a collection of homes in the Montecito Heights neighborhood. These houses demonstrate the growth and change in Los Angeles from 1850 to 1950. Tour Victorian Era houses and learn about the everyday lives of the Angelenos who used to live in them.

The Los Angeles waterfront offers plenty of pedal boats, paddleboats, kayaks and canoes for rent. For a different type of aquatic sport, Captain Kirk's offers the equipment and lessons for paddleboards, windsurfing and kite surfing at Belmont Shore, Long Beach and La Ventana.
