What started out as a group of filmmakers who were denied entrance to the Sundance Film Festival and decided not to take no for an answer is today’s Slamdance Film Festival. Get in line to see the best emerging independent artist films in multiple genres and topics from every country around the world.

People from all walks of life can come walk the hand-carved stone outdoor labyrinth to help clear the mind and though process. Or you can escape the chaos of urban life at one of the peaceful meditation gardens.
Located near the California Science Center, the California African American Museum opened its doors to the public in 1981 in order to share the history, art and culture of African Americans with all Angelenos. Permanent and traveling exhibitions use a wide range of art and artifacts to educate the museum's guests.
