The Downtown LA Art Walk is the largest (120 square blocks!) and most popular, showcasing the best galleries, artists, vendors, restaurants and shops in downtown. Stop by every second Thursday of the month from noon until 9PM for an unforgettable experience.

Watch the Los Angeles Kings tear up the ice in the Staples Center. Created as part of the 1967 NHL expansion, the LA Kings continue to reach for the crown after having advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals in the 1992-93 season and losing to the Montreal Canadians in five games. Watch this sports team fight for the win next time they hit the ice.

Located on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood, Griffith Observatory is a national leader in public astronomy. Visit or even rent the observatory for an extensive display of space and science research, as well as the planetarium show and a chance to look through telescopes at the beautiful LA night sky. This attraction is one of the most famous observatories in the country.

Hit the beach, Venice Beach! Walk along the circus-like boardwalk or stroll through the sand at this beachfront district. Catch some surf or just take in the sun while you explore this bustling area. Forgot to bring swimwear? No worries. Venice beach also has a skate park, a bike trail and tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. There's no outdoor beauty like the kind you'll find at the beach.
