The historic movie palace, Million Dollar Theater, was built by entrepreneur Sid Grauman before his Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The Million Dollar Theatre has been preserved for its unique and extraordinary architecture, even though the building lay abandoned for two years. Re-opened in 2008, the theater currently shows live Spanish theater.
Enjoy all forms of art at the Norton Simon Museum. This art museum contains works from Europe, Asia and the Americas in its permanent collection. These pieces range from 14th century Renaissance oil paintings to early Baroque to modern and contemporary art. Beautiful marble sculptures line the galleries and the Front Garden and fill the extensive Sculpture Garden.
Experience live entertainment and attractions in a new way at the Peacock Theater, formerly Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. Opened in 2007, this indoor venue offers 7,100 seats, none of which are more than 220 feet away from the stage. This gives the theatre a sense of intimacy not found in similarly sized theaters. Watch live performances by favorite bands and artists or see a broadcast or film on one of the 14 screens.
Enjoy a great show and meal at the House of Blues. A major venue for touring bands, the House of Blues Los Angeles hosts live performances almost every night on their stage. In addition to the live entertainment, enjoy a fireside lounge, skyline views, elegant dining and a great experience on LA's nightlife scene.
