Laugh 'til your sides hurt at the Laugh Factory. Living up to its name, the Laugh Factory was recognized as "the #1 comedy club in the country" by USA Today. This world famous comedy club attraction has hosted comedians like Dane Cook, Ellen DeGeneres, Jay Leno, Chris Rock and Jon Stewart. You can also catch new comedians and rising stars at open mic night.
Celebrate the diversity and history of the American West at the Autry Museum. The Museum contains three institutions with huge collections and multiple exhibits. The Southwest Museum contains a vast collection of Native American art, textiles and jewelry. The Museum of the American West displays many artifacts and the Institute for the Study of the American West shares its research about the area.
Opened in 1993 and partially owned by Johnny Depp until 2004, the Viper Room on the Sunset Strip was known as a popular nightlife hangout for young celebrities and is noted for being the site where actor River Phoenix died. This smaller venue continues to be well known for its excellent acoustics and Hollywood atmosphere.
Once owned by Paramount Studios, Paramount Ranch hosted a number of large-scale sets featured in movies and television shows dating from the golden age of cinema in 1927 to the final episode of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman in 1997. The majority of the sets have since been removed, but the set of a western town remains intact for visitors.
