Located near the California Science Center, the California African American Museum opened its doors to the public in 1981 in order to share the history, art and culture of African Americans with all Angelenos. Permanent and traveling exhibitions use a wide range of art and artifacts to educate the museum's guests.
Enjoy some free jazz at the Central Avenue Jazz Festival held annually on Central Avenue, the home of LA jazz in the 1930s and 40s. Enjoy food, art, community outreach programs and, of course, some of the best music from favorite local and national jazz artists, as well as high school bands.
Pasadena Ice Skating Center provides the opportunity for families and friends to get out on the ice and have some fun skating together. It is open daily to the general public and skaters of all ages and skill levels can participate in public sessions.
If you're in the mood for some hard-hitting sports action, cheer on the mighty Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center. Founded by the Walt Disney Company in 1993 and named after the 1992 Disney movie, The Mighty Ducks, these mighty Ducks have managed to win one Pacific Division title, two Western Conference Championships and one Stanley Cup Championship.
