Learn about the environment and ecosystems in a fun, hands-on way at STAR Eco Station. Named "Best Teaching Zoo" by L.A. Family Magazine, STAR Eco station is not only an environmental science museum, but it also serves as an exotic wildlife rescue center and a haven for endangered and illegally-trafficked exotic animals.
Located on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood, Griffith Observatory is a national leader in public astronomy. Visit or even rent the observatory for an extensive display of space and science research, as well as the planetarium show and a chance to look through telescopes at the beautiful LA night sky. This attraction is one of the most famous observatories in the country.
Walk through living history at the Heritage Square Museum. The Heritage Square attraction is actually a collection of homes in the Montecito Heights neighborhood. These houses demonstrate the growth and change in Los Angeles from 1850 to 1950. Tour Victorian Era houses and learn about the everyday lives of the Angelenos who used to live in them.
