Listen to a performance by the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Opened in 1913, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is the largest museum in the western US. Walk through 4.5 billion years of history as you stroll through the exhibits. Artifacts, fossils and specimen dating back from prehistory to today are preserved and displayed on all three floors.

If you are willing to travel a bit out of the main LA area, be sure to add the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden to your destinations list. This gorgeous, 127-acre garden and outdoor oasis is nestled into the low-key San Gabriel town, near the mountains. The Arboretum houses luscious plant collections from all over the world, including many rare and endangered species.

For a small venue with great acoustics and top-notch local bands and headliners, stop by Whisky A Go-Go. Since opening in 1964, they have acted as an anchor on the Sunset Strip nightlife scene, hosting some of rock ‘n roll's most legendary bands and up-and-coming new artists.
