Housed in the oldest surviving structure of LA's original Chinatown, the Chinese American Museum is part of the El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument. As such, the mission of the Chinese American Museum is to use art, cultural artifacts and historical facts to "foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of America's diverse heritage."
Enjoy a romantic ride down a scenic street in a horse-drawn carriage. Make a reservation with Enchanted Carriages for one of their beautiful carriages, which range from the pristine White Vis-à-vis to the fairytale-style Cinderella Coach. The carriages are decorated with lavish flower ornaments and can be tailored to meet your desired theme or colors.
The Los Angeles Clippers formed in 1970 as a professional basketball team, part of the National Basketball Association. The sports team has had six winning seasons since its formation, although the athletes continue to provide a competitive, fun game for fans and spectators. Meanwhile, the team has begun a rebuilding with Blake Griffin.
If you are willing to travel a bit out of the main LA area, be sure to add the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden to your destinations list. This gorgeous, 127-acre garden and outdoor oasis is nestled into the low-key San Gabriel town, near the mountains. The Arboretum houses luscious plant collections from all over the world, including many rare and endangered species.
