The ladies take over the court with the Los Angeles Sparks. Sparks fly as this Women's National Basketball Associate team shows off their basketball skills in front of fans and spectators. This team has gained momentum in their sport in recent years, taking home two championships and three conference titles since 2001.
The historic movie palace, Million Dollar Theater, was built by entrepreneur Sid Grauman before his Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese Theatre. The Million Dollar Theatre has been preserved for its unique and extraordinary architecture, even though the building lay abandoned for two years. Re-opened in 2008, the theater currently shows live Spanish theater.
Opened in 1913, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is the largest museum in the western US. Walk through 4.5 billion years of history as you stroll through the exhibits. Artifacts, fossils and specimen dating back from prehistory to today are preserved and displayed on all three floors.
Located in downtown LA, the Orpheum Theatre opened its doors in 1926. Since then, it has undergone a renovation to restore the movie palace to its former glory (including its grand pipe organ). The Orpheum Theatre hosts a variety of entertainment like live concerts, movie premiers, film festivals, theatrical productions, fundraisers, private parties and many other special events.
