Located in downtown LA, the Orpheum Theatre opened its doors in 1926. Since then, it has undergone a renovation to restore the movie palace to its former glory (including its grand pipe organ). The Orpheum Theatre hosts a variety of entertainment like live concerts, movie premiers, film festivals, theatrical productions, fundraisers, private parties and many other special events.
Spend a glamorous night (or two or three) at the Hollywood Bed & Breakfast. Located next to Hollywood Boulevard, this quirky bed and breakfast is within walking distance of several LA attractions, including Sunset Strip, Grauman's Chinese Theatre and several world-class restaurants. Guests at this three room B&B have full access to the parlor, dining room, kitchen, screening room and pool.
Celebrate the diversity and history of the American West at the Autry Museum. The Museum contains three institutions with huge collections and multiple exhibits. The Southwest Museum contains a vast collection of Native American art, textiles and jewelry. The Museum of the American West displays many artifacts and the Institute for the Study of the American West shares its research about the area.
Once owned by Paramount Studios, Paramount Ranch hosted a number of large-scale sets featured in movies and television shows dating from the golden age of cinema in 1927 to the final episode of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman in 1997. The majority of the sets have since been removed, but the set of a western town remains intact for visitors.
