That's what you'll experience when you visit the Jensen Alvarado Ranch just outside of Riverside. Upon your arrival, you will encounter costumed interpreters who will guide you through vivid demonstrations of what life was like on a ranch in the late 19th century. You will be a part of the action as you find yourself helping out with such daily farm duties as churning butter or feeding the animals. You can also learn about how much of a challenge farming was back then when you visit the ranch museum that is also located here. This is where you will have a chance to see attractions like antique farm equipment as well as artifacts from the ranch's past.

The Riverside Ballet has proudly celebrated over 50 years of excellence by developing the talents of local performers, securing various world-renowned engagements as well as continuously giving back to the local Riverside community. Through both instruction and performance, the ballet brings much entertainment to the stage, pleasing generations of audiences with such popular productions as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Snow White, just to name a few.

There are parks and then there are the parks that hold an incredible number of distinctive outfeatures like the kind that you will find at Indio Hills Palms State Park. The park is centered around a line where the San Andreas fault accumulated ground water and nurtures the incredible variety of palms that are found here. This is an impressively large, 2,206-acre park area that is home to several palm groves. This is where you can take in the visually stunning Hidden, Pushawalla, Briska, Macomber and Horseshoe palms.
