Doc Holiday still drinks' booze at the River City Saloon, located in Sacramento. The outlaw hangout is a painstakingly exact replica of the saloon that stood there in the 1900's, hence the famous slogan "almost historic." Skip over to the docks of Old Sacramento and board the 1920s paddle-wheeler Delta King Hotel Riverboat. Come aboard to enjoy the scenic river and its boating activity, exciting theatrical performances at the Capital Theater, causal dining and live entertainment at the Pilothouse Restaurant, and charming staterooms for overnight stays. You won't find another attraction like it.

Family time is a zoo at the Sacramento Zoo, when you get up close to the wildly inspiring Giraffe Habitat, Tiger Cubs and White-faced Owls. The 14-acre landmark is home to 400 animals and 140 native, rare and endangered species. Catch special events like the Ice Cream Safari and Zoo Parent Picnic. It's a great attraction for family fun.

Pay homage to the first American transcontinental railroad at Sacramento's California State Railroad Museum. Discover vintage railroad locomotives, cars and other equipment. Peek over the counter at the Station Master's ticket office and stand in the waiting area where you'll think you're boarding the next steam horse.
