Doc Holiday still drinks' booze at the River City Saloon, located in Sacramento. The outlaw hangout is a painstakingly exact replica of the saloon that stood there in the 1900's, hence the famous slogan "almost historic." You can dine, drink and get your picture taken with Doc Holiday while he drinks at the bar at this authentic Wild West stop.

Raley Field is home to the Sacramento River Cats, a Triple-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Oakland Athletics and Pacific Coast league champs. The Sacramento Mountain Lion Cheerleaders and Dinger the mascot get the crowd pumped up and ready to cheer the sports team on. Attending a Sacramento River Cats baseball game is fun for the entire family.

Waltz on over to the Strauss Festival of Elk Grove. Sit on the grassy knoll near the river's edge and enjoy the beautifully costumed waltz and polka dancers perform to symphonic sounds of the 32-piece Johann Strauss Jr. and family orchestra. The annual event draws an audience of 30,000, so call ahead and reserve your spot on the lawn.

It's a scientific playground at Sacramento's Powerhouse Science Center. Interactive experiences put kids right into an Archaeology Dig to discover fossils and dinosaurs, a space adventure at Space Quest is complete with wearing an astronaut suit and flying a space ship and into a galaxy of stars far, far away at the Planetarium. There's something to do and see for the whole family at this educational attraction.
