The majestic and breathtaking presence of the San Bernardino Mountains is hard to ignore. All year round, there are always plenty of fun activities and attractions to experience and natural beauty to take in when you visit the Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area. Fans of fishing will love casting their lines here, as the lake waters are full of trout, large-mouth bass, and bluegill. There are also plenty of trails that promise a satisfying hiking experience, excellent camping areas, and lots of green open spaces to stretch out and have some relaxing fun in the sunshine.
The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art is located on the campus of California State University San Bernardino. The museum is an impressive facility that's home to a collection of close to 1,200 objects that include ceramics and ancient and contemporary art, as well as a large collection of Egyptian artifacts that features 500 pieces spanning over 4,000 years of history. These are just some of the museum's many highlights, which complements its many exhibits with lectures, special presentations and various seasonal events.
When the only thing that will rescue you from that feeling of being sleepy and being tired is a good strong cup of coffee, let DJ's come to your rescue! For years, d.j. Coffee Shop in San Bernardino has been keeping patrons alert in style thanks to their enjoyably strong blend of coffee. But when you come in for your cup of joe, don't stop there. DJ's also offers an excellent menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items that are all served in a charmingly vintage diner setting.
Quite often, you get that feeling that you need to “get out” for a bit to clear your head and get some fresh air. San Bernardino offers plenty of excellent outdoor destinations to do just that, and one of the most picturesque is Littlefield/Shultis Park. This inviting area features plenty of lush greenery that adorns its impressive 15 acres. The park also features 15 park benches, 2 playground areas, a 35-mile walking track and 2 picnic areas. So if you want to make a whole day of it or just want a natural setting during your lunch break, the Littlefield/Shultis Park is the perfect destination!
