The San Bernardino National Forest is like an unexpected natural haven in the midst of some intense urban activity. Most people are pleasantly surprised to find this natural gem of a forest located on the other side of the mountains in San Bernardino. Splash Kingdom Waterpark is located in Redlands and is a beach-themed water park that is known for having the world's tallest enclosed body-flume waterslide as well as the world's tallest free-standing water slide tower. There are also three race car tracks, bumper boats, miniature golf, a large arcade, a sports bar and even an amphitheater that regularly features live concerts.

The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art is located on the campus of California State University San Bernardino. The museum is an impressive facility that's home to a collection of close to 1,200 objects that include ceramics and ancient and contemporary art, as well as a large collection of Egyptian artifacts that features 500 pieces spanning over 4,000 years of history. These are just some of the museum's many highlights, which complements its many exhibits with lectures, special presentations and various seasonal events.

Quite often, you get that feeling that you need to “get out” for a bit to clear your head and get some fresh air. San Bernardino offers plenty of excellent outdoor destinations to do just that, and one of the most picturesque is Littlefield/Shultis Park. This inviting area features plenty of lush greenery that adorns its impressive 15 acres. The park also features 15 park benches, 2 playground areas, a 35-mile walking track and 2 picnic areas. So if you want to make a whole day of it or just want a natural setting during your lunch break, the Littlefield/Shultis Park is the perfect destination!
