The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art is located on the campus of California State University San Bernardino. The museum is an impressive facility that's home to a collection of close to 1,200 objects that include ceramics and ancient and contemporary art, as well as a large collection of Egyptian artifacts that features 500 pieces spanning over 4,000 years of history. These are just some of the museum's many highlights, which complements its many exhibits with lectures, special presentations and various seasonal events.

Rim Nordic is an attraction that challenges you to not only enjoy its natural surroundings, but also to get back to the basics. You will find this retreat in the heart of the San Bernardino National Forest. Rustic is really the only way to describe the area, as there are always plenty of visitors to the area year round. In the winter months, the resorts are full of activity thanks to the many skiers and snowboarders and the warmer months are equally as active, due to the mountain bikers and hikers who enjoy Rim Nordic's challenging terrain.

For the urban cowboy (or cowgirl) in everyone, there's the Brandin' Iron Saloon and Dance Hall. This charmingly rustic nightlife spot is one of those places that could have been the setting for the famous “Urban Cowboy” movie. The venue features various live country bands, dance lessons and the ever-popular mechanical bull that always attracts plenty of takers. There is also a delicious dinner menu available, too.

Get a taste of what life was like for the Franciscan Fathers back in 1819 when you visit the Asistencia Mission De San Gabriel. The site is commonly referred to as “Estancia,” as this Spanish mission was a beacon of hope and help to people of the area who were in need of food, water and spiritual comfort. This historic structure is now owned by the San Bernardino County Museum System and its continuous efforts allow visitors to take a fascinating look at what religious life was like alongside the San Bernardino Mountains in the 19th century. The mission has aged well, as many couples choose to get married in the meticulously maintained church that is complemented by its impressively landscaped grounds.
