The Timken Museum of Art can be characterized as small, but potent. While the building is not sprawling or as expansive as you would expect, what you find inside makes the size of the building unimportant.

Instead of a stuffy meeting for lunch in an overcrowded restaurant, opt instead for a picnic for just the two of you at the Ellen Browning Scripps Park.

Coronado's charm is largely due to it's location and all that it offers in a relatively small area of space. You can drive to it from the San Diego-Coronado Bridge, but if you have the time and want to take in the gorgeous scenery, take the ferry from Broadway Pier instead.
