The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is a Christmas time tradition that families have been enjoying for years as a celebration of the holiday season. The boats in the harbor are adorned with flickering lights and take part in an aquatic parade that puts smiles on the faces of all who sit and watch.

For boaters, the best view of the pageantry is where the parade turns for Coronado, near the 10th Street Terminal. If you're on shore, the north or south ends of the Embarcadero or the path along Coronado offers excellent viewing as well. Since parking prices are at a premium for this popular festival, you may consider getting there by way of public transportation-and with plenty of time before the fun begins.
