To take a tour of the Historic Bob Hope Theatre is to travel back to experience one of Stockton's most iconic sites. Originally opened in 1930 as the Fox, the venue attracted quite a lot of attention (as well as patrons) for staging some of the most spectacular productions ever seen. The theater was also noted for its 2,170-seat capacity. The theater was renovated in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The three Wurlitzer pipe organs are still located in the loft, and one is used to regale audiences every second Friday of the month before a showing of a classic film. Tours of this incredible building are available by appointment.

It's almost like connecting the various pieces of the area's past when you view the museum's vintage photographs, artifacts and various exhibits that all tell the story of the American West. Also, don't miss seeing the incredible collection of manuscripts, books and other historical items.

The Willow Slough Trail offers hikers and walkers a chance to experience the natural beauty of an ancient valley oak forest that offers one of the rarest landscapes in the state. Beaver, river otters and mountain lions as well as several types of exotic birds are the types of creatures you may be able to see on your trek. The terrain of this recreation path is dirt, dirt road and boardwalk through the valley and oak woodland.
