The Willow Slough Trail offers hikers and walkers a chance to experience the natural beauty of an ancient valley oak forest that offers one of the rarest landscapes in the state. Beaver, river otters and mountain lions as well as several types of exotic birds are the types of creatures you may be able to see on your trek. The terrain of this recreation path is dirt, dirt road and boardwalk through the valley and oak woodland.

Striking out is a good thing when the whole family heads out to Pacific Avenue Bowl. This is one of Stockton's favorite places for great family fun. This bowling facility has been one of the city's most iconic attractions, as it has had its doors (and bowling lanes) open since 1958. This impressive facility houses creatures from all over the globe that include such popular residents as monkeys, iguanas and a stunning collection of exotic birds and equally interesting amphibians. In addition to offering a great environment to walk around and view the animals in their natural habitats, the zoo also features various seasonal events as well as a variety of educational programs.
