Medieval times were long before The Glen Eyrie Castle was built in Colorado Springs by its founding father in the 1800s. The famous city landmark and attraction boasts 67-rooms with 24 fireplaces with a primitive intercom system and chimneys designed to hold smoke until the wind blew the proper direction away from the valley. Today it is host to tours and Christian conferences and retreats.
