Kids mix science with fun at the Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival! The Hands-on Science Carnival offers row after row of activity stations, laboratory tours, and free workshops to participate in activities like making your very own mini catapult and flinging marshmallows at the Fruitcake Toss. Live performances and guest speakers are also in attendance at this festival of learning.

A photographer's paradise is exposed at the Garden of the Gods public park in Colorado Springs. Soaring fins of clay-colored sandstone jet 300 feet in the air exploding all over the valley floor, spanning the backdrop of Pikes Peak. The park includes popular trails for hiking, walking, mountain biking and horseback riding.

Encounter Africa at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Meet South African elephant Kimba, weighing 10,000 pounds and standing over 9 feet tall, and see African lion cubs, Jamila and Zwena. See the zoo from above on a Sky Ride soaring above the zoo's 146 acres, teaming with 550 wild animals. Enjoy tons of exhibits and attractions including yummy food and fun souvenirs.

Discover nearly 4,000 artifacts as you travel across the 27-acre museum with exhibits like The Facet of Coal about the past, present and future of coal mining in the West.
