If this is your first time going to Casa Bonita, it's like going to a Disney amusement park for dinner, but with a Pirates of the Caribbean theme and Mexican cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of attractions, including cliff divers, brawling pirates, wild west shootouts, a haunted tunnel, and a video arcade. Casa Bonita has been a cultural institution in the Denver area since 1974. Under new ownership, it has undergone a refreshed look and feel and now boasts a brand-new culinary team. Despite the changes, the restaurant can transport guests back to 1970s Mexico. With live music, shows, games, and a truly unique atmosphere, Casa Bonita is truly an experience that you'll never forget.
Whiskey Bar is the ultimate destination for whiskey lovers. The bar boasts over 320 whiskies, including Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Johnnie Walker, and Jameson. If Whiskey isn't your thing, don't worry; plenty of other options are available, including 10 Colorado beers on draft and an extensive cocktail menu. Whiskey Bar beats all other bars in the LoDo area with its vast whiskey selection and free foosball. The whiskey tour is a challenge, and you can easily find parking at Whiskey compared to other bars in the area. This is a fantastic local bar with a relaxed atmosphere. Although there is no food service, the exceptional service makes up for it. The 4-7 p.m. happy hour daily offers a u-call-it menu of drinks for $3, including all draft beers, even Colorado craft beers. The bar has a cantina-like look and feel, with brick walls and ceiling fans. Spin the wheel, and you might even get a free drink after happy hour. They especially love the extensive selection of cold beer taps.
See some of the best of Broadway and a few other gems at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Stories like 9 to 5, Les Miserables, Billy Elliot, To Kill A Mockingbird, West Side Story, and The Taming of the Shrew have all been brought to life on the entertainment venue's stage. They are one of the nation's largest non-profit theatre organizations. They inspire daily to create, share, teach, excite, and perform for the community. And as a not-for-profit organization, they owe their existence to every theatre enthusiast's generous support and participation. For every moment of magic you see on stage, hundreds of people make it happen.
