A Taste of Colorado is a four-day celebration of food that you would want to attend, especially if you're a foodie. The end-of-summer festival features mouthwatering dishes from over 50 area restaurants and 270 marketplace artisans. Once you've satisfied your hunger, you can enjoy the entertainment on six stages throughout the festival. In the past, the festival has hosted impressive performances from Bret Michaels, the Four Tops, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

If you're an animal lover, consider visiting the Wild Animal Sanctuary. This sanctuary is home to various rescued animals, such as leopards, cougars, wolves, bobcats, and foxes, all living in species-specific habitats on 320 acres of open grassland. As the largest and oldest nonprofit sanctuary in the United States, the Wild Animal Sanctuary provides a haven for these beautiful creatures, many of whom were rescued from dangerous or abusive situations.
