The Washington Redskins give fans plenty to cheer about season after season. This seminal professional football team played its first game in 1932 and has been tackling its way to the end zone ever since. The sports team is a member of the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) and the National Football League (NFL). The team plays at FedExField in Landover, Maryland and keeps its headquarters and training facility at Redskin Park in Ashburn, Virginia. The Redskins have won five NFL championships, has captured ten NFL divisional titles, and six NFL conference championships.

The two of you deserve to put some artistic flair into your romantic time together, and there's no better place to do that than the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. America's memorial to President Kennedy keeps an artistic tradition alive that would have put a smile on the face of the beloved fallen leader. There are 7 different theaters in the venue that are always featuring such works as ballet, dance, opera, symphonic presentations and so much more. There are enough places on the grounds for the two of you to sit and enjoy each other's company before or after whatever production you have decided to take in.

The Virginia Wine Expo is the oldest celebration of its kind on the East Coast and is regularly attended by wine aficionados from all over the country. Sixty of the state's top wineries are on hand to display their wares, but this celebration goes far beyond just tasting some of the best wines from the various participants. There are also seminars, cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, gourmet food and an outdoor art and craft show. The event is held every September.
