The Washington Wizards are a professional basketball team based in Washington, DC and were previously known as the Washington Bullets. They play in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team first hit the court in the late 1960s and has seen its share of victories, especially in what is known as the Miracle Season of 1977-78. However, the sports team weathered some tougher times, especially in the late 90s as the team saw its worst performance streak in its history. Our 16th President is remembered at one of the city's most popular attractions, the Lincoln Memorial. This iconic landmark overlooks the Reflecting Pool that creates a stunning photo opportunity as both the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building are in the vicinity as well. Make sure to have plenty of time when you visit, as you will want to walk along this magnificent pool and climb up the marble staircase that leads to the 19-foot-high statue of Abraham Lincoln.
