The National Gallery of Art offers everything you ever wanted to know about art and presents an incredible amount of it all in one place. The Gallery's numerous exhibits and attractions stretch from the Middle Ages all the way to today. Works by da Vinci, Rembrandt, Raphael and Titian, among others, are all here. The facility proudly exhibits over 3,000 paintings, 2,000 pieces of sculpture and over 100,000 prints, drawings and other interesting pieces. Also, don't forget to spend a little time in the Sculpture Garden that can be found at the corner of 7th and Madison.

Getting into the Eighteenth Street Lounge may require getting past the very selective velvet rope. This premier nightlife venue doesn't just let anyone in, as it is a favorite haunt of the city's elite politicos, culture vultures and even the occasional celebrity. Once you do make it inside, you'll enjoy the cool, lounge atmosphere and superbly stocked bar. There are occasional live shows, DJs and various theme nights on the weekly calendar that are all worth checking out.

The Washington Ballet was founded in 1976 by the great American ballet pioneer Mary Day, this group is considered to be one of the nation's finest ballet companies. The performers push themselves to the limit to deliver the highest caliber of artistic expression and entertainment in such famous titles as the Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland and the Great Gatsby, to name but a few. So buy your tickets, get dressed up, and enjoy a truly dazzling evening with the Washington Ballet.

The Potomac River offers several fine opportunities for water sports and great aquatic fun. Enjoy a day of sailing and get a look at DC from a truly amazing vantage point. There are several marinas on the Southwest Waterfront, Old Town Alexandria, and Arlington that are great starting points for your time on the water. Lessons are available at the Washington Sailing Marina which is located just south of the Reagan National Airport.
