Sure, you've studied Shakespeare in school, but when the words come to life on stage, it's a completely different experience. The Shakespeare Theatre Company is considered to be the premiere Shakespeare theatrical group in the country. Founded in 1985, this group of performers has consistently presented classic theater and made it accessible entertainment for audiences of all ages who gain a deeper appreciation for these timeless works.

One of the city's most stunning attractions is the Washington National Cathedral that began construction in 1907 and was not completed until 1990. Theodore Roosevelt was just one of the Presidents who oversaw the cathedral's construction, and every US President has attended services there. The structure is approximately one-tenth of a mile long and it contains more than 200 stained-glass windows that create a mesmerizing effect when the sun shines through. The observation gallery within the cathedral offers still more unbelievable vantage points, and there are regular tours that explain the architecture, history and the church's mission in further detail.

Come and enjoy such great outdoor activities as basketball, tennis, hiking, boating, or even a round of golf. There are picnic tables and concession stands available for you to plan the perfect day out.

If you aren't quite sure of the steps, there are lessons available to help you find your groove. There isn't much time to be off your feet, but if you do need a bit of a breather, there are excellent lounges on the third and fourth floors that will revitalize your spirit. The specialty drink at Habana Village is the mojito, a tasty mix of rum, sugar and crushed mint leaves that will help you get dancing again, too.
