This park is the largest marine park in the National Park System and protects four ecosystems: a stretch of mangrove forest along the shoreline, the southern portion of Biscayne Bay, the northern Florida Keys, and a part of the world's third-longest living coral reef. Get up-close to the animals at the Miami Metro Zoo. There are over 2,000 animals that call this zoo home, along with 1,200 plant species. As you stroll down the pathways of the zoo, you'll see exhibits and attractions that house tigers, lions, sloths, antelope, kangaroos, monkeys, koala bears, gorillas, elephants, rhinoceros, and hundreds more.

Get lost in literature at the Miami Book Fair International. Book worms and writers will love this event as it features six nights of lectures, discussions and readings by nearly 350 authors. The event also brings over 250 publishers to the area, bringing books and other literary novelties. Book collectors will want to attend the fair as antiquarians are in attendance, showcasing valuables like signed first editions and original manuscripts.

Climb the heights of the indoor peaks at X-treme Rock Climbing. This climbing gym provides indoor rock climbing and lessons, along with a full exercise area and yoga instruction. Before you set out on the 14,000-square-feet of climbing space, you have to sign a waiver and if you're going to enjoy rope climbing you have to pass a Belay Safety Test.
