With help from The Wolfsonian, examine the social influence of art and design. This museum serves as a museum, library and research center for Florida International University, and houses over 120,000 art pieces in its collection, all ranging in time periods from the Industrial Revolution to the close of WWII. Industrial-design objects, glass and metal works, rare books, paintings, and more are all showcased in the collection; these pieces have been amassed by the museum from countries all over the world.

No zoological park offers an experience like Jungle Island. This park offers a couple of tours where you can actually touch animals like lemurs and the world's only tame Cassowary. Other animal attractions around the park include orangutans, gibbons, African penguins, Caribbean flamingos, alligators, pythons, tigers, and a rare liger.

Get lost in literature at the Miami Book Fair International. Book worms and writers will love this event as it features six nights of lectures, discussions and readings by nearly 350 authors. The event also brings over 250 publishers to the area, bringing books and other literary novelties. Book collectors will want to attend the fair as antiquarians are in attendance, showcasing valuables like signed first editions and original manuscripts.
