The two-week celebration is one of the nation's largest street festivals, so don't miss out on the fun.

Snorkel with the fishies, spend a day on a boat, relax on the beach, or suit up for a scuba dive at Biscayne National Park. This park is the largest marine park in the National Park System and protects four ecosystems: a stretch of mangrove forest along the shoreline, the southern portion of Biscayne Bay, the northern Florida Keys, and a part of the world's third-longest living coral reef. All of these ecosystems mean that there's plenty of nature to explore here. There's also a visitor center on site with an art gallery featuring works inspired by the park and other attractions.

Journey through the outdoor oasis known as the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. This particular botanical garden is home to a large collection of rare tropical plants, including palms, cycads, flowering trees, fruit trees, and a variety of others. With literally thousands of plants in bloom, you could spend hours exploring this garden.

Fans of classical music and symphonic performances should make it a point to see a production by the New World Symphony. This symphony company is the nation's only full-time orchestra academy and works hard to prepare up and coming professional orchestra musicians.
