Bay Hill Club & Lodge is one of those courses made extra special for two reasons. It's one of the most popular courses on the PGA tour, and it's where legendary golfer Arnold Palmer lives and plays.

The golf club is open only to club members and guests of the Bay Hill Club & Lodge. The course occupies 270 acres along the banks of the Butler Chain of Lakes.

Both courses feature 27 holds of championship golf and are home to the nationally televised Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented by MasterCard.

The 18-hole "Challenger/Champion" course boasts 7,381 yards from the longest tee for a par of 72. The course was designed by Dick Wilson and Arnold Palmer himself and opened in 2009.

The 9-hole "Charger" course offers a links-style challenge and features 3,409 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. The course was designed by Robert Simmons and opened in 1963

The Country Club of Orlando features an 18-hole course with 6,591 yards of golf from the longest tee for a par of 72. Designed by Donald J. Ross, the course opened in 1911.

Originally, the course was a 9-hole affair, but the club proved so popular that a few years later the course was expanded to 18 holes.

Since then, the Country Club of Orlando has managed to expand and flourish through the Great Depression, World War II and beyond. All the while it has expanded, grown, completed major capital improvements and renovations - a testament to the capable leadership throughout the years.

Today it enjoys a stellar reputation as one of the leading clubs in the country.

Why bother playing a municipal golf course in Orlando? Because the city is the king of golf, and DubsDread Golf Course is the crown jewel among dozens of excellent courses. The 18-hole course is lined with mossy oaks, dog-legged fairways and short greens to keep things interesting.

The widely acclaimed Dubsdread Golf Course is an area-favorite municipal golf course, with 18-holes of golf and offering 6,173 yards of play from the longest tee for a par of 72.

Known as Orlando's most historic course, Dubsdread opened in 1924.

The course is located just north of downtown and feels like it's a part of Orlando's living history. Mossy oaks are dotted throughout the course, and it played host to golf greats like Ben Hogan, Sam Snead and Claude Harmon.

The city of Orlando made major renovations to the course, designed by Thomas Bendelow, and reopened it in 2008.

The relatively short course remains a challenge with its small greens and narrow dog leg fairways. Small ponds here and there help keep golfers on their toes.

Facilities at Dubsdread Golf Course include a pro shop, halfway house and driving range that is home to a golf academy, plus a couple of short-game greens.
