You haven't really experienced Southern history until you've toured a genuine plantation home. Journey back through time as you walk through the Archibald Smith Plantation Home. This historic home was built in 1845 and has been preserved over 150 years through the test of time. Exhibits in the home include a feature on the Smith family and their role during the Civil War.
Pack a family picnic for a day at Piedmont Park. This Midtown Atlanta destination offers plenty of activities for a family day spent outdoors, including basketball, swimming, fishing, tennis, a playground and more. Special features of Piedmont Park are the Six Springs Wetlands, and Legacy Fountains. The park is also situated near other Atlanta attractions like the Botanical Gardens.
Take the time to appreciate design at the Museum of Design. The MODA offers a closer look at architecture, industrial design, interiors, furniture, and graphics, just to name a few. Through interesting exhibits and displays, this museum will show how design affects our world, and ultimately, our lives.
