Join in the celebration of Caribbean culture at the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival. Bright costumes, music and parades are a large part of this festival, along with Caribbean food, arts and crafts, and other live entertainment. The festival is celebrated right before Lent, and is somewhat of a "last hurrah" before the observation of the Catholic tradition.
Tour on the Atlanta History Center Tour, and learn about the city from the people who know it best. On your exploration of the 33-acre center, you'll see photographs and artifacts that detail time periods of Atlanta's past. Other features include various gardens, a research library, two historic homes, and the Margaret Mitchell House & Museum.
If you're looking for laughs in Atlanta, check out the talent at Uptown Comedy Corner. This venue is one of the city's top destinations for entertainment, and guarantees performances by comedians that will make you laugh out loud. Past performers like Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Mike Epps, Steve Harvey, and Damon Wayans, are just some of the comedic geniuses that have shared their musings with the crowd at Uptown.
