The park was built to commemorate the city playing host to the Centennial 1996 Summer Olympics, and features several sculptures and the beautiful Fountain of Rings. Fans of film, mark your calendars for the Atlanta Film Festival. The annual international film festival presents a wide range of independent films, from a variety of genres. Hustle & Flow and 500 Days of Summer are just a couple of movies that have been featured at the festival. Enjoy a performance at one of Atlanta's most historic venues, the Fox Theatre. The theater originally opened as a movie palace in 1929 and has been providing audiences with entertainment ever since.
