The Breman Jewish Heritage & Holocaust Museum features exhibits that detail the horrors of Nazi forces in Europe before and during WWII. The museum takes special care to honor the six million lives lost during the Holocaust through display of photographs, artifacts and personal accounts of the devastating events.
For fresh air, wide-open green space, and some of the most gorgeous trees in the city, head to Candler Park. Along with a large area of open, green space, the park boasts an outdoor playground, pavilion areas, a pool, walking paths, and lots more. Candler Park also hosts community events like CP Movie Nights every month, and a Fall Festival. Fans of running may want to look into joining the Candler Park Running Club to meet with other enthusiasts of the sport.
Head to the Delta Classic Chastain Park Amphitheater to catch a performance by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The ASO is in its 66th season and is considered to be one of America's premiere orchestra assemblies - you won't want to miss hearing live music from this talented group of performers. The amphitheater also hosts other performances by artists like Darius Rucker, Steve Miller Band, and Steely Dan.
Take some time to enjoy the sights of Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. The park was built to commemorate the city playing host to the Centennial 1996 Summer Olympics, and features several sculptures and the beautiful Fountain of Rings. While you're in the park, explore the surrounding areas. You will run into some of Atlanta's major attractions like the CNN Center and the Georgia Aquarium.
