Art connoisseurs and crafty people from all around have made the Atlanta Dogwood Festival a tradition in the city for the past 70 years. The festival takes place in Piedmont Park every spring, and features a variety of art forms. For fresh air, wide-open green space, and some of the most gorgeous trees in the city, head to Candler Park. Along with a large area of open, green space, the park boasts an outdoor playground, pavilion areas, a pool, walking paths, and lots more. Candler Park also hosts community events like CP Movie Nights every month, and a Fall Festival. Fans of running may want to look into joining the Candler Park Running Club to meet with other enthusiasts of the sport.

If you were ever a Cabbage Patch Kids fanatic, revisit your childhood at the Babyland General Hospital - the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kid dolls. This toyland sits on 650 beautifully landscaped acres, and you'll find that the hospital is housed in a gorgeous Southern-style home. When you visit here, you'll get to see a Cabbage Patch doll being made and then have the opportunity to take it home to add to your collection. It's a heart warming attraction for young and old.
